Guzheng

Our Guzheng Ensemble offers students valuable opportunities for beyond-school learning, fostering both musical skills and personal growth. Our junior members attend sessions on Tuesdays, while seniors meet on Fridays, where they refine their repertoire and performance techniques under the guidance of an instructor. Through these lessons, members not only learn musical mastery but also gain insight into the collaborative aspects of performance, such as stage directions, movements, and equipment setup.

Our senior members play a vital role in mentoring juniors, fostering skill development, teamwork, and a strong sense of camaraderie. This mentorship strengthens team spirit, enabling the ensemble to consistently achieve distinction in the SYF Arts Presentation since 2016. In 2019, the ensemble's dedication was recognised when they were invited to perform at the Istana during the Hari Raya Open House.

Senior members also take on leadership roles, promoting the CCA during the Open House for our Primary 2 students. This helps them build leadership and communication skills, while also reinforcing values like collaboration and resilience.
