ICT Club
Our ICT Club aims to develop students holistically by equipping them with essential digital and technological competencies for the future:
Introduction to New Media with Apple Technologies
With the support of IMDA, students utilise iPads and other Apple technologies to create innovative digital content. They learn to navigate the basics of planning, shooting, and editing video content, as well as capturing and enhancing digital photographs. Building on these skills, students then explore more advanced techniques as they delve into designing basic augmented reality (AR) experiences and creating intricate digital artwork.
Coding
Block-based coding introduces our younger learners to programming by allowing them to assign instructions through drag-and-drop blocks. This syntax-free approach encourages exploration and creativity, enabling our students to develop problem-solving skills while gaining confidence in computer science concepts.
3D Printing
3D printing turns digital designs into real objects by building them layer by layer. Our students get to learn an easy-to-use online tool, Tinkercad, to create their own 3D models. With Tinkercad and 3D printing, they can design and print toys, keychains, and more, bringing creativity to life.
Cultivating 21st Century Competencies
Through engaging and collaborative projects, our ICT Club also nurtures self-management, teamwork, and communication skills. Students are encouraged to think critically and creatively as they embark on the above tech-driven activities.
